New Age Feng Shui is the reason for misconceptions. Some practioners have led people to perceive that feng shui is on a par with the occult, with chanting rituals, prayers and most significantly, with an emphasis on “believing” or “having faith” in the practice, in order for it to work.
Feng Shui is faith free and religion free!
I know I was curious when I first heard about feng shui. I thought, “how is it possible to move a desk, add plants and maybe a fish tank and our life starts changing”?
The Chinese have been practicing this ancient system for thousands of years. There are major institutions that always follow Feng Shui, such as HSBC, Bank of America, Chase, Google, Yahoo to mention a few.
Feng Shui has become very popular in the past ten to twenty years in North America and in Europe. It can be difficult to determine which practitioners are here for a fad or a tradition. For me, fads come and go, but traditions are here to stay.
Throughout the centuries feng shui is an integral part of Chinese culture and has helped design cities, build homes, and bury the dead.
The success of China makes us more than a little inquisitive as to its’ achievements in business and how they have become the powerful country they are today.
The intricacies of the process of feng shui will continue to mesmerize many of us, but standing on the side lines and watching the parade pass by is not my idea of living.
I am proud to continue spreading the message for the past 20 plus years and everyday love that it brings me new beginnings.
